Two dynamic business leaders will be the principal speakers at Congress 2006 presented by the South Asian Women’s Leadership Forum on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Manhattan. SAWLF is pleased to announce that Ms. Indra Nooyi, president and CFO for PepsiCo., Inc. will participate in an interactive segment with Ms. Meena Mansharamani, vice president for strategic initiatives at Pepsi-Cola North America.

This special segment will bring together two, leading-edge professionals for an engaging discussion that will highlight winning business strategies and practices as well as their individual experiences of challenge and achievement at one of the world’s best known and established consumer brands.

Zeyba Rahman
Chairperson, World Music Institute and
Producing Partner, Jungli Billi Productions

Zeyba Rahman has been a producer/artistic director of live performances, television, film and forums for dialogue for more than sixteen years. She brings project management experience, gained as an executive on Wall Street, to bear on projects with cultural and educational organizations both nationally and internationally. These have included Asia Society, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the World Bank’s World Faiths Development Dialogue at Canterbury Cathedral in England, The World Millennium Peace Summit for Spiritual and Religious Leaders at the United Nations, and the Moroccan world music festivals in Essaouira and Rabat among others. Currently, she is planning the second edition of the twenty city Spirit of Fès U.S. National Tour featuring world musicians in collaboration with musicians from the United States. The Tour will include a full complement of programs with pre-concert discussion panels modeled on the Fès Festival’s Giving A Soul to Globalization Colloquium, school educational programs, and master classes at universities.

In film, as a producer and partner for Jungli Billi Productions, she has completed production of Sawt-e-Sarmad: The Sound that Intoxicates Man (2004) and is in production with the documentaries NYC (2003-04) and Early Cabbage (2002-04). Dramatic feature film projects in development for Jungli Billi include Noor and a 14-part television series titled The Wandering Minstrel, a travel series exploring world music. Other credits include: music consultant to The Crucible of the Millennium (2000, PBS), consultant for Treasures of the World (1997-98, PBS); Producer for the award winning dramatic films Mr. Ahmed (Jungli Billi Productions, 1994), and The Madness of the Day (Terrance Grace Productions, 1989-90); Co-producer Full Circle (1987, Krishna Kandoth).

As Chairwoman of World Music Institute, Director-North America, Fès Festival of World Sacred Music and its Giving A Soul to Globalization Colloquium, a public speaker and a producing partner for Jungli Billi Productions, Zeyba is deeply committed to the advancement of human rights and respect for cultural diversity.
