SAWLF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the
advancement of South Asian women professionals. Established in New York
(February 2003), SAWLF has grown to a community of over
2,000 women professionals across the US.
SAWLF
invites new perspectives and nurtures a transformed and extended vision
of business and culture. SAWLF members represent diverse
industry and professionals including: Finance; Law and Public Policy;
Consumer Brands; Consulting, Hospitality, Government; Healthcare, IT,
Media, Arts, Non-Profit, Fashion; Beauty and Small Business
NETWORK
SAWLF strives to provide meaningful and robust opportunities
to interact with peers in order to exchange ideas and leverage professional
resources. SAWLF events offer members an opportunity
to meet and interact with women in various stages of realizing their professional

coincide with the September auctions and new art season, SAWLF
presented, Women in Art, a special program featuring women professionals,
Mahnaz
Fancy, Executive Director, Arts of the Islamic World; Anuradha
Ghosh-Mazumdar, Senior Cataloguer for Indian
and Southeast Asian Art, Sotheby's Inc.; Yamini
Mehta, Specialist and Head of Modern and Contemporary Indian
Art, Christie's; and Moderator
Vibhuti Patel, Editor, Newsweek International, who are leading
and influencing the South Asian art market. Through an interactive panel
and slide presentation, participants were introduced to "South Asian Art"
as well as recent and future market growth and demand.
